Letter “R”, Practicing, Art/Craft Rose, Games, Outside
Welcome back from Vacation. Yes, pre-schoolers even get vacations. Today we picked right up where we stopped. We ended with the letter “Q” so today we practiced the letter “R”, Red, Rose, Rainbow etc. We started off with our usual sheet that I create with the four objects that begin with R. The kids cut them out, we discussed them and the R sound, then they pasted them on their page. Next was letter writing practice. I located some “Follow the line” worksheets, so I figured I would try them. The kids did really well with that, but looking back I wish I had used the dry erase boards as well. Then we moved on to arts and crafts. I found a Template for the children to cut and paste of a “R”ose. So they made those for their Mother’s. We played some learning ABC games then moved down to the play room. The kids wanted to play musical chairs, so we did a few games of that, they played with every vacuum (toy or real) they could find and pretended to vacuum the play mats. We also played some games, like Ants in the pants When we went outside they all ran to the swing set as always, the sandbox and running around and down the hill. Another fun filled great day.
