Jumping, hopping, bending, stretching, Oh My.

Worked with a smaller group today.  We worked on their large motor skills as well as balance.  I placed pieces of paper on the rug, so they wouldn’t slide.  I then had each child hop to the next piece of paper, turn sideways and stretch their legs  to the next piece of paper and bend over frontwards to reach the next piece of paper. I had them try standing on one leg on the paper and then they hopped in place on the paper (two legs).  We did all of these several times and the kids enjoyed it a lot. They even got in a row and went one after the other.   Once we were done,  they did some running around the papers and through the openings in between the papers,  and were still using their large motor skills.  It was great exercise and they had lots of fun.
