We took a field trip today to the Baxter Memorial Library. It was pretty quiet there so we had the run of the Children’s room. They all looked at books, played with the babies, trains, block toy and puzzles. They loved the huge dinosaur that is just outside the Children’s room. JP draw a picture of a rocket ship while we were there. Little baby JP had his first trip with us and he was in AWWW of the Library. Happy baby. The 2 Toddlers learned how to use the water fountain and then did not want to leave it. When we returned home, we played out in the snow for quite awhile. The kids, with their red checks, still didn’t want to go inside. The older kids went sledding, they even tried to do it on the tiny hill out front. The younger ones and I played (and they even ate) in the snow.
Another great day!! I hope you enjoy the photos and as always feel free to comment.
What a nice day to be outside. It was a bit chilly at first, then got really nice. Gave us plenty of time to do a lot of activities. The two little ones “shared” many toys, like the Cozy Coupe, the slide, the tunnel etc. Big brother took his little brother for a walk down the driveway, which he loved doing. He also practiced his horseshoe toss. The younger kids practiced their ring toss (or placing the rings on the poles). When the older kids arrived off the bus there was some sandbox play and then my daughter taught them some Soccer moves. Of course kicking the ball was the favorite part, but goalie was a close second. They even had their own cheering section, until she got too occupied with her apple. I have a ride on snail, but one of my little ones decided she wanted to carry it around the yard instead. One of my other litle ones prefered to play with the wood chips under the slide/swings. We even fit in a wildness walk.
Late posting. Friday was such a beautiful day. My children had off from school and so did a few Daycare children. It was suggested that we go Apple picking. So we loaded up and headed to the Orchard. We must have been there a total of 2 hours picking apples, running around and sitting on the wooden swing. It was a great day! Enjoy the few pictures I took, had to use my phone, forgot my camera.
The weather wasn’t hot today, and no rain. I asked what the kids wanted to do for a field trip before they go back to School next week. They wanted to go back to Fort Willims, so off we went. The Daycare kiddos, my daughters, as well as an old Daycare child and his Mom, my friend after ALL these years.. The kids really enjoyed going in the forts and learning more about them. I, myself, was saddened by the disrespect that has been shown to these landmarks. The two older girls found some sea “Prizes” to bring home. The littlest two played and snuggled together. My littlest girl was very interested in what was inside the forts, until she got to a dark opening and just stopped.. We got our workouts climbing those hills, especially me since the two little ones would have taken A LOT longer to make it up those hills walking, haha. I hope you enjoy the photos and as always feel free to leave feedback.
“Hum, I wonder what is in there” “I like your shirt better than mine” “Okay. Seen it, I am all set” My leg hug. Just chillin “What are you doing back there?” “Let’s hug, as best we can reach” Brr, water is too cold The big bell Right outside the lighthouse Looking up to see the “Light” We even saw a bunch of kites flying.
I had an extra small group on Wednesday. Some parents are dong last minute Summer activities with their children, which is wonderful. So we headed to Sebago Lake State Park for the day. Two of my children went with us as well. It was a lot of fun, the water was nice, built in the sand, THEN, the Yellow Jackets came out again, just like the prior day at Nason’s beach. We avoided them as long as we could by staying in the water and putting all food back in the Vehicle. By 2:45 everyone was getting tred. So, we headed back to Daycare for some more outdoor fun.
