Just two here after the bus his morning. “K” continued in her workbook. She completed yet another section, Numbers, and got her Certificate. She wanted to feed the baby, and she did a great job. They are really good together, “K” is a huge helper and she really enjoys it. For a craft “K” painted the rim of a paper plate Green (I cut out the middle) and I printed off a Shamrock. Once the paint had dried, we attached the shamrock to the rim with hot glue and a popsicle stick to make a hat. While we played in the Daycare room, “K” fed our pet fish (2), we did some reading, music and rearranging. You will see her doing “head, shoulders, knees and toes”. She really loves the 1×1 time. We had a lot of fun with lunch. “K” mixed up some eggs and some pancakes, but then she added the secret ingredient for St. Patrick’d day, green food coloring. She kept telling me how delicious they were, even green. Once “J” and “A” arrived after school (“L” was sick) there was even more playing in the Daycare room. They used baby dolls, Kitchen, blocks, puzzles and so much more. I am adding some new electronics, so there will be some more rearranging.. Enjoy the photos. Sorry for the blurry ones, still haven’t gotten a new lens.
On a separate note: We will be having a 4 year old boy joining us, Full-time, in a few weeks. “K” is very excited, as am I. His new Brother or Sister will join us in the Fall.
The two preschool children and I were very busy today. We worked in their Workbooks on numbers, counting, letters, Alphabet, matching, Community helpers, weather and “All about me”. We also read, sang songs and danced. Then we decorated for the party. The girls were so excited to help.
We did a Valentine “treat” day and crafts after the school kids arrived. This is the first year I didn’t do a party, because there were no days off from school or even half days. But I still wanted to do something. The kids had so much fun, between the treats and crafts. THANK YOU so very much to the parents that helped, with food and gifts, I truly appreciate it. Especially on short notice.
I did get another new “toy” for the play room. Not really a toy, it is a mini trampoline. Each of the kids used it, to release some energy, and they all love it.
I hope you enjoy the photos.
As you saw, it was pouring out this morning. So we stayed inside and made a couple of fun crafts. The first one was “creative”. I laid out many different craft objects on the table. I put out 4 different yarns, beads, sprinkles, ribbon, coloring utensils, decorations, stickers and more. And all I did was ask them what color paper they wanted for their craft. The ONLY direction was “Use anything on the table, anything you want, to make your picture. And use as much glue as you want to”. That was it. They came up with some wonderful pictures, just using their imaginations. Our next craft was simpler. We made pipe cleaner and bead bracelets. Again, using any colors they wanted. For lunch my daughter had been telling them all week she would make Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Today was the day. So all the kids took turns helping her pour in the ingredience and stirring. Those were great pancakes and everyone loved them. We spent the afternoon outside.
Full house today since it is school Vacation. The kids had a full morning of fun. THEY made (with a little help) Chocolate Chip Waffles that we would have for lunch. They love to help cook. Then, we had a Fashion show put on by the children (costume picker, my daughter Brianna). It was awesome. We had Superman, A Magician, a Vampire, a devil, two cowgirls, 2 Princesses, Tinkerbell, well you can see them all for yourself. They had so much fun and so didn’t my daughter helping them. After the Fashion show I cooked the waffles, while the ids played Pinball. Then we ate, back to the play room then rest/movie time.
