Where care is most like home.

I decided to take the kids on another Field Trip today, since I had a small group of 4.  We went to Fort Williams/Portland Head Light.  All for kids, even the baby,  had a blast on the beach, in the water, The older kids loved seeing, touching rocks and climbing old Forts.  It was a walking History lesson for them as well. “A” had a lot of questions about Cannons. She wanted to know how big a cannon ball was. So I took her to the information booth and to our surprise he had one hanging right there. “J” had more questions about the big bells.  They could not believe how big a light house is up close. They were both interested to hear about the wars and what occurred there, and the fact that they got to go into these forts. We even got a visit from the LL Bean Boot.. We picked up lunch and had a pic nic and no field trip to South Portland is complete without a stop at Red’s Dairy, they had no idea. It was a wonderful day.. Enjoy all the pictures.
