Where care is most like home.

Today was a very busy day, like yesterday.  Also quite Educational. We worked on the letter “I” today.  As always, I printed off the worksheet and the children began cutting out the pictures.  What I didn’t take into consideration was that the kids may not know all of the pictures I chose. I printed a picture of an “Iguana” and was told that it was an alligator and a picture of a little girl Indian, which I was told was a little girl playing dress-up.  So I looked up two five minute Documentaries, 1 on Indians and 1 on Iguanas. The kids watched them with me and asked a lot of great questions. It was wonderful.  Then we got back to our learning and crafts. They wrote the letter “I” on their dry erase boards and did great, then we made two crafts that had to do with the letter “I”.  We made an Iguana out of the letter “I” and also we used glue and white paper squares and made Igloos.  They also wanted to practice their names on the Computer, so we did that. After all that learning I felt it was time for some fun in the snow. We stayed out there for quite awhile, ever after “JW” got off the bus. It was a really nice day to be outside. We had lunch a but later then normal because we were outside so long, and then rest time.

I some how posted the pictures backwards. So start at the bottom, ha ha.

I love the iguana. Last night Kaci saw my computer and asked if she could practice typing her name. She did really well she got k a struggled a little to find c but then did and then I had to help with the i. It looks like they had so much fun. Great pictures as always. I can’t wait to hear how the peek a boo field trip goes. I think they will have a blast. Thanks for all your caring and interactions you have. I cant begin to tell you how much I appreciate you.

    • Oh that is awesome that Kaci wants to do her name at home on the computer now too. So glad to hear that. Yes, she does really good with K & A. I am so glad that you enjoy the pictures. I enjoy your comments, very much appreciated. Hopefully the snow wont cancel our field trip for tomorrow, but I wouldn’t risk driving the kids around. There is always another week. You are very welcome, I enjoy what I do and it gives me great pleasure to see a child do something new or just “Get” something after practicing so long. They could tell you, I go a bit wild when I get excited about something they have accomplished..
