Where care is most like home.

Poor “JW” had to go home today, he wasn’t feeling well.    So “E” and “JP” did a craft and letter/name practice.  We made paper bag Bear puppets.  There was quite a bit of cutting involved in this activity, so a lot of fine motor skill work. Once the pieces were all cut out the children pasted them onto the paper bag to create there Bear puppet.  They played with them for a bit, making them talk.  Next we worked on the letter “B”, as we did “A” a couple of days ago.  Then we used the lined dry erase boards and I wrote each child’s name at the top.  They then practiced making the same letters as I had made.  With one child I found it easier for them to learn when I used dots to show them where the lines had to go.  I also got some new puzzles and the kids were so excited to do them.  Everyone has been into puzzles recently, I think it is great.  We got to go for a ride about mid-day as well.
