Where care is most like home.

“A” is for Apple

Today I worked on the letter “A” with the two older kids.  Of coarse they will need more practice, which is expected, but they did really well. We all used dry erase boards and they copied the moves I made on my board.  Once we finshed that, we made Apple trees. I cut out the branch but the kids did the rest. They pasted the branch onto a Fall color piece of paper. Next I cut an apple in half, and gave them a plate of red paint. They dipped the apples in the red paint and then pressed them onto the branch.  Once they did their apples I gave them green paint and a brush and they made some leaves for their trees. As a final touch I had the older two write the letter “A” on their picture.
